The Actor's Nightmare

The Actor's Nightmare

Written by Christopher Durang

Directed by Kirk Thomas

The Actor's Nightmare by Christopher Durang is a hilarious one-act comedy that dives into every actor's worst fear: being unprepared on stage. The story follows George, an ordinary man who finds himself inexplicably thrust into a series of bizarre, mismatched plays, from Shakespeare to Noël Coward, without knowing his lines, his role, or even how he got there. As George stumbles through the surreal scenes and tries to keep up with eccentric co-stars, the absurdity builds, leading to a chaotic and comically nightmarish finale. Durang’s play is a witty exploration of anxiety, identity, and the unpredictable nature of life on stage.

Run Time: Approximately 40 minutes

The Actor’s Nightmare is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Services, Inc.
